Black Swan Event is a metaphor that describes an event that comes as a surprise, has major effect and is often inappropriately rationalized after the fact with the benefit of hindsight. The rebellious reaction of enforced restrictions, guidelines, contact tracing, cashless systems, vaccinations and travel restrictions. Neo punk is a fashion trend reflecting a movement of which abuses authority of non-conforming standards. Black Swan Event collection showcases individual storytelling, defying cultural norms with unconventional fashion of used, adapted elements and strong vocal color.

The name of the collection is ‘She Sees’. The collection takes a unique look through the eyes of a woman and shows the viewers the world that she sees in front of her. The piece signifies the importance of women’s eyes in some cultures, as it’s the only body piece their religion allows them to display to the rest of the world.
“I am so excited to announce that I’ve been named as WA / NT Hairdresser of the Year 2018 Finalist for Hair Expo with the big announcement taking place this weekend in Melbourne at the Awards Gala. The nomination is incredibly humbling and it’s something that has been on the top of my bucket list of goals for the year.
If I’m lucky enough to win the award, it would be one of my proudest achievements. It would enable me to make an even bigger difference to those around me, whether it be through the continued education and development of others within the industry, or by furthering the salon’s commitment to environmental sustainability,” says Terrina Brown, Owner of Zedz Hair Salon, Beauty Salon and Day Spa in Perth.
So far this year, Terrina has already ticked some big items off her bucket list, perhaps the most noteworthy being her innovative approach to environmental sustainability within the Zedz salon space.
